TRANSFIGURATION
DRAWINGS and PAINTINGS
Stimulated by studies in quantum physics and his Transcendental Meditation practice, Imero Gobbato created a series of drawings and paintings which emerged directly from lucid dreams and his imagination.
Transfigurations are painted using the classic Renaissance technique of ‘glazing’. Many thin layers of color are applied to achieve the illusion of deep space while denser applications of color create the contrast of emerging forms.
