All his life, Imero Gobbato made images and notes of what he saw, felt and imagined. As his work evolved, he discovered he could be in different places by creating them. Until one day he found himself in the mystical, musical land of Humbravana (HV).
He was known in HV as Ghervaner (painter, carver) Lucoel (the luminous one), the admired and respected ‘Maker of Little Worlds’. For many years he traveled the land and diligently recorded his observations, striving to define the forms revealed between the light and the dark.
One may wonder what is real and what is imagined, but there are no clear boundaries.
HUMBRAVANA — The Land of the Eloquent Shadow
“I was always very busy trying to make a living. Sometimes I wonder, what is life? We have this life, we have dreams, and we have dreams with open eyes, like Humbravana.”
